FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs):

Why did The Fountain of Praise purchase this property?
With the continuous growth of The Fountain of Praise congregation, our current facilities are no longer sufficient to handle the space demands for ministry activities and meetings.  In addition, additional space is required to house new ministry and community outreach activities including the C.O.R.E. Academy and programming for seniors.  The facility will also provide for large events and worship services.

The sales price for this property was comparable to previous estimates to build the C.O.R.E. Academy from the ground up, with the extra advantage of providing additional space  for ministry and outreach programs.  The facility location is excellent for convenient access and visibility.

Where is the Fountain Life Center located?
The Fountain Life Center is located at the southwest corner of the intersection of South Main (Highway 90) and Hillcroft Avenue.  It is approximately one half mile north of our Hillcroft Worship Center.

What is the size of the Fountain Life Center?
The property is located on 14.5 acres of land with 153,119 gross square feet.

What will happen to the current Fountain Life Center tenants?

What renovations will be done at the Fountain Life Center?
Deferred maintenance items including repairs to the roof, power, lighting and parking areas will begin shortly.  Plans for other renovations can begin once the Shaping Minds, Building Community, Enriching Lives capital campaign begins in May 2007 and our budgets can be finalized.

When will the renovations be completed?
The immediate repairs to deferred maintenance items will take approximately 18 – 24 months.   Other renovations will be scheduled once the final plans are completed.

How will The Fountain of Praise pay for this project?
This project can be paid for with the faithful commitment of the congregation by making pledges to the Shaping Minds, Building Community, Enriching Lives capital campaign.  The campaign has a goal of $ 7.5 million to be raised from monthly pledges over the next three years.

The funds raised are separate from and in addition to each member’s regular tithes and offerings, which are used to support our current ministry activities and maintenance of the South Post Oak campus and Hillcroft Worship Center.  With the faithful payment of pledges and full participation by all members of the congregation, this is an achievable goal for the Kingdom of God.
